Stormbreaker Review

Daring, adventurous, and heart thumping, these are a few words to describe Anthony Horrowitz “Stormbreaker”.  It tells a story of a school boy as he takes a daring adventure looking into the death of his uncle and the mysterious Stormbreaker.

When Alex finds out that the Stormbreaker is not what it seems his world turns upside down. With men on quads hunting him down and finding out his uncle died by the hands of a deadly Assassin. All he has is his metal eating zit cream, his trusty Gameboy, his yoyo and his karate skills will he make out alive?

The part when he was trapped in a tank with a jellyfish really had my heart thumping and my head thinking. I kept wondering if he would die but he prevailed and defeated the deadly jellyfish.

I would recommend this book to anyone that loves deadly, action packed and full of villains novels and to anyone that loves the cherub series.

Minecraft

Minecraft was invented by Markus Persson as an indie free roam for people to play but it has gotten much larger and has grown to the powerhouse it is today.  It has become a very addictive game and has children spending their parent’s hard earned money.

What is Minecraft?

Minecraft is a free roam game were you play as an avatar and you can craft, destroy blocks or put down blocks in an open world. It has various animals and mobs in the world which you can retrieve various items from those creatures to craft your armour or food.

What are the good/bad points?

Minecraft has good points such as you can build 18x19 block houses that is one of the best points in using it at school. Minecraft is also good as everyone in the class can be on at the same server while the teacher tells all the kids to make a certain size house etc. Here are some bad points Minecraft causes a lot of controversy in the school with people blowing up, burning or destroying others creations and people get very mad at that.

I would say Minecraft can be a good tool for some as it has very good building aspects or teaching children how to work together in an open world where they can build or destroy. Minecraft is another way to annoy and agitate others were children can do anything with the likes of TNT and flint and steel. By Antonio

Daring Dash for Kids Cancer

On Friday 7^th of June we ran 7km in a daring dash across lush farm. While it was Flynn who won it proved challenging for some under a hot summer condition some children ran for child cancer and got sponsors while some just ran for the glory of their houses. All in all I rate this Cross Country to be a huge success and was really fun even though I didn’t think I would enjoy it was a blast I would do it again.
